Created April of 1989, 19 this conformed by 75 organizations and 165 people that live in the States of Amazons, Acre, Amapá, Roraima, Rondonia, Pará, Maranhao, I Kill Grosso and Tocantis, with a population of 204.000 inhabitants in a geographical extension of 5´033.072 Km2.

The COIAB has as objectives and ends, the promotion of the social, cultural, economic organization, politics, invigoration and the autonomy of the towns and indigenous organizations of the Brazilian Amazon.


The Formulation of strategies, relationships of technical cooperation, with other indigenous organizations and cooperation organisms, national, international, looking for the guarantee and promotion of the rights of the Indigenous people.
