RESOLUTION "DECLARATION OF THE NATIONS UNITED ON THE RIGHTS OF THE INDIGENOUS TOWNS"
The continental encounter of Towns and Indigenous Nationalities of Abya Yala, made from the 8 to the 12 of October in the city of La Paz, Bolivia,
Considering:
That the Council of Human rights of United Nations approved the "Declaration of the Nations United on the Rights of the Indigenous Towns", the 29 of June of the 2006.
Considering which all the Governments of the Abya yala have the obligation of guarding by the fulfillment of the rights of the Indigenous Towns, to the respect of the own cosmovisión. its intermediation around the Declaration of the Nations United on the Rights of the Indigenous Towns, for being that attempt to its indigenous cosmovisión around Articles 1º and 3º of the mentioned declaration
Taking into account:
That the Declaration in mention recognizes the inalienable rights for the Indigenous Towns contained in Agreement 169 of the Organization the International of the Work, this instrument will contribute to the total participation of these towns in the subjects of the present States.
It solves:
We demanded that the text of the article Nº 1 says: "The indigenous towns have right, to the total benefit of all the human rights and fundamental liberties recognized by the Letter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human rights and the international right relative to the human rights. In relation to the Art. 3º, we demanded suppresses the mentioned article for being in opposition to the indigenous cosmovisión, every time Agreement 169 in its article 14 is tacit. It is given in the meeting of in encounter of the Indigenous Nationalities of the Abya Ayala made in the city from La Paz Bolivia to the 11 days of October of the 2006.
Endorsement to the Government of Mr. President Evo Morales
The representatives, authorities and spiritual guides reunited all in the CONTINENTAL ENCOUNTER OF TOWNS AND INDIGENOUS NATIONALITIES OF ABYA YALA, as well as of other shared in common groups and sectors and jeopardize with our rights, we greeted the Nationalistic Government of Companion EVO MORALES AYMA, and WE DECLARED:
Our gratefulness to the Indigenous Towns and the government of Bolivia by its hospitality and because now in Bolivia winds of freedom and to the salary to us lodged from the 8 to the 12 of October are breathed and allowed to engage in a dialog and to put to us in agreement between the representatives of the indigenous towns on diverse essential subjects for our towns.
Our endorsement and recognition to all the political and economic actions undertaken by the government of the President of Bolivia and the Indigenous Towns of the ABYA YALA, companion EVO MORALES AYMA because they are the dream made reality of many Indigenous Towns that still we were in situation of discrimination, racism, operation and exclusion.
That this democratic process that lives Bolivia is exemplary for all the Original Towns and other governments and States of the Continent, taking in consideration the transformation of the State and the Bolivian institutions to construct a democracy without exclusions, with the participation and decisive conduction of the Indigenous Towns, with the purpose of repairing and repaying the damages, damages, injustices of all type that we have suffered during 514 years.
Our call to all the citizens, groups, sectors of being able, organizations and to the own Indigenous Towns to that they continue working and contributing with the government of President Evo Morales for the pacific solution of the structural problems of short, medium and long term.
The Indigenous Towns of the Continent we valued this historical moment and we create firmly that the governability and political stability of the country will cause the changes that benefitted all the Bolivians. We assumed the leadership that exerts the Most excellent gentleman president, original of ABYA YALA and the world, Don EVO MORALES AYMA, as example for all the towns in the rescue of its multicultural national identity considering and the pluriètnico thing of our nations.
